| Best Teacher of the Month (April 2010) Ms. Suma Jacob |
 A fragile frame, but a power house of energy ,she has infused new life in the nursery wing .She had been teaching social science in the primary department but was given the responsibility to head the nursery department in April 2010.
Under her captaincy, her department has improved tremendously. She has ensured that teachers and students converse only in English and the introduction of activities has made the department lively and students enjoy coming to school. She is a real inspiration to the teachers. We are really proud of her.

Dhwani Sadaphal of class IX went to Austria in the month of June, 2007 as a member of ‘The Global Children’s Choir for Peace’consisting of 28 children of the age group 10 to 13 years The choir participated in two concerts, one in the village Rabenstein and another major concert at the President's office. |

 Shubham Nizzare a student of class II D of Doon Public School is a young Sportsman and Roller Skating Champion who has won numerous medals and trophies in various competitions He got an opportunity to meet Smt Sheila Dixit Hon'ble Chief Minister of Delhi at her residence on 7 February 2010 and spend some time with her.
 DOON PUBLIC SCHOOL, Paschim Vihar girls U-14 and boys U-19 teams won the gold and silver respectively in the 1st P.P. Singh Memorial Inter School Invitation Hockey Tournament. Doon Public School girls defeated GHPS, Hargovind ENCC in the finals, where as boys lost to Bal Bharti Public School, Pitam Pura. Top eight teams of Delhi participated in this tournament, Mr. H.S. Bhardwaj, President Delhi Hockey Association was the Chief guest who gave away the prizes. Varsha Maan of Doon Public School was judged as a best player of the U-14 girls section.
The 55th School National Games were held at Margao, Goa from 26 October’09 to 30 October’09. Hemant Rawat a class VI student of Doon Public School, Paschim Vihar won a Gold Medal for himself in the Sub-junior Bantam Weight Category. He was ranked first place in All India level as well as Delhi. Hemant Rawat also bagged a Bronze Medal in the 3rd CBSE National Taekwondo Competition organized by Columbia Convent School Indore from 1st Nov’09 to 4 Nov’09. He was trained by Coach Vijay Gupta who is himself well trained in Taekwondo and has coached many winners in the past too.
Doon Public School, Paschim Vihar outshined all others once more in the recently held DDA Invitational Basketball Championship, held at DDA. Sports Complex from 29 September, 2009 to 1 October, 2009. The Senior boys basket ball team bagged the Championship Trophy and won 12 Gold medals. Even in Taekwondo, Doon added a feather to its cap when Hemant Rawat (Class VI) bagged the Gold Medal in the C.B.S.E. Taekwando Championship held at Vidya Jain Public School, Rohini from 3-4 October, 2009. Hemant has also been selected for the Nationals to be held at Ambala.
Doon has always ruled the roost in skating and once again Shubham Nijare (Class II) bagged one Gold and one Silver medal, P.V.S. Ajay (Class V) bagged one Gold and 1 Bronze medal, Deekshit Bhasker (Class VI) bagged 1 Silver medal and Varsha Maan (Class IX) bagged one Silver medal in the C.B.S.E. Skating Championship held at Remal Public School from 2-4 October, 2009. These 4 students have been selected for the nationals to be held at Chandigarh.

| Zonal Competition |

Students of our school participated in the various Zonal Cultural Activities organized by Zone-17, District West.
In the patriotic song competition, students of classes 6 and 7 walked away with the II prize. Class 8 saw a proud moment as they were awarded the 2nd prize for presenting Patriotic Qawali. Ashish Kapoor of Class 11-A won many a hearts in his solo performance and bagged the 1st prize. Both Vrushali Pathak of XII-E and Rumjhum Banerjee of VII-B flaunted their first prizes in solo performances.In the Cultural Competitions category for teachers, Mr. Roshan Lal bagged the third place in the ‘Sanskrit Shloka Competition. Ms. Raj Rani Ahuja brought back a trophy in the general Quiz and Ms. Urvashi Choudhary got the third position in the English Extempore Competition.

| Scholastic Word Master challenge 2009 |
It's a matter of great pride that Nipun Jain of VII B and Prateek Kar Gupta of VII A of Doon Public School, Paschim vihar. Participated in Scholastic Word Master Challenge 2009 and begged III position.
The competition was conducted by Scholastic and and was held at DPS, R. K. Puram on August 4, 2009. In all 66 schools of Delhi participated in the competetion. there were three rounds all. First round was preliminary round, in which all the participants had to go through a written test and the best 8 schools were selected for the next round. The students of our school cross all the hurdles, and leaving behind DPS, R.K. Puram won the second round with a great margin. In the third round the competetion was between 5 schools and our school gave a tough fight to the rest of the schools and begged the III prize. |

'Hemant Rawat' - student of class VI of Doon Public School, Paschim Vihar brought laurels to the school by winning a 'Gold Medal' in the 27th National Sub-Junior Taekwando Championship 2009, held between 10 to 12 July at Vishakapatnam. In all 28 states of India participated in the Championship giving Hemant a though competition but his grit and determination made him win the 'Gold'
