It is opportunities galore for the students of Doon Public School to grow up into multi-faceted personalities. The concept of testing the multiple intelligence of the child makes every student feel like a winner.
Ample opportunities are available for the pupils to develop their innate talents or to hone further their skills they have already acquired. Clubs such as Science Club, English Club, G.K Club, Readers Club, Drama Club, Maths Club, Music Club, Computer Club, Eco Club, Student Magazine Editorial Board, etc encourage children to take up various learning based activities.
Theatre, Debates, Public speaking, Youth Parliament, Creative Writing, Quiz Sessions, Paper Reading etc are regular skill honing activities and are under the guidance of qualified teachers.

Young Doonites of Pre Primary wing experienced lots of excitement and fun before they went for their summer vacations. To begin with children were given a grand welcome by the teachers and once they settled down in their new environment, a train of eclectic activities began. Earth Day was celebrated with a march in the school. Children carried beautiful placards and shouted slogans at the top of their voice, which made every person witnessing to sit back and think about taking one step towards preventing our earth from getting ruined to nonrenewable extent. The entire event became vibrant and enthusiastic when the Manager of the school, Mr. Sarat Chandran joined the young ones in their drive.
Mother’s day celebration followed, which saw children making beautiful cards / necklaces for their dearest mommy. As competitions are inevitable part of their growing up, children of Prep and Nursery participated in the story telling competition, which manifested many talented and confident orators.
Events culminated by conducting a class party for the pre nursery students along with their parents on 13the May.

The Pre-Primary department of Doon Public School organized a birthday celebration on Friday, 30th April, which showcased an eclectic mix of young talents. It was a farewell given to one of it's students, Arshi who is an inmate of the orphanage "Aashran" and will be adopted soon. The school staff transformed the event into a memorable one for the parents and their little ones to cherish for a long time.
For the Nursery students Clay Moudling Competition was held on 15 July 2009. The students made beautiful things like elephant, grapes, frog, sun, snake etc. The students enjoyed the activity a lot. Students were awarded prizes.
Independence Day and Janamastmi was celebrated on 13 August. Children dressed up in beautiful traditional dresses. A few students were dressed up as Radhaji and Krishanji. They enjoyed a lot.
Kilkari was held on 21 August. Students of the Nursery classes participated in different races like the Pick and run race, Rolling baby and Bride and Groom race. Skating competition was held along with Kilkari.
Activities of Prep classes
Clay Moulding Competition was held on 24 April 2009. All the Prep class students participated in it. They enjoyed making different things like garland, mouse, grapes, duck, elephant etc. This activity helps in fine muscle development of the students.
Kilkari was held on 24 July 2009. The students were all geared up. They participated in different races like Ready to school race, Paper ball race, Horse race, Toffee race and the Butterfly race. Skating competition was also held on that day and Pranav Jain, Aditya Pratap Singh and Hardik Malhotra stood I, II and III respectively.
Bal Sabha ( Prep E )- It started with the prayer ‘ God is everywhere’ followed by messages from students regarding motivation. Then students presented a patriotic song in English ‘India is one’. The programme ended with a colourful dance on Janamashtami.
Bal Sabha ( Prep D)- It started with a welcome song ‘Open your heart’ which was followed by Aerobics. There was a skit ‘ Rainbow’ which gave the message of unity. Students danced to the tune of’ Saturday night’. The programme ended with ‘ Sare Jahan Se Acha…..’
