Report on Geetanjali Fest- Waste Management Competition

Paschim Vihar, Delhi : On the last day of Geetanjali Fest 2017, Doon Public School organised an inter school competition on Waste Management in the school premises where students from many schools participated.
The competition was an extension to the school's initiatives towards working for the betterment of the society. This competition was organised to inspire the students to provide service to the society through the means of their innovations. The contest was organised under the project - Atal Tinkering Lab and is a part of activities designed for British Council International School Award 2017. The students from classes 4-5 displayed their projects with elan.
During the competition, all the teams assembled their projects using waste materials and later on displayed their projects which were judged on the basis of presentation, creativity and innovation. The Music Department of Doon along with its talented students presented a symphony by using waste materials in place of instruments.
The winners of the Waste Management Competition are as follows:
The first position was bagged by Brain International School. The names of participants are - Garv Narula, Priyesh Sharma, Tanisha Gulabani, Prabhleen Kaur and Suvya Malik.
The second position was bagged by Bal Bharti Public School. The team members' names are - Samyak Sharma, Manasvi Chawla, Manthan Aggarwal, Angel Kansal and Aryan Taneja.
Indraprastha World School came third. The names of the participants are - Hemank Grover, Reeva Grover and Anshika Garg. The enthusiasm of the students was immense and they filled the ambience with their joy and excitement. The fest culminated with the announcement of the winners and distribution of trophies.Geetanjali Fest was truly an occasion of inspiration and sportsmanship.
